Warranties and Returns

In the event that you are dissatisfied with your MachineWise product we will accept returns within 30 days of receipt. Note we will only accept return on unused and unblemished products. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we cannot offer you a full refund or exchange. All refunds will be processed with a 15% restocking fee. MachineWise reserves the right to deny refunds on an individual basis. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

    To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Please email admin@machinewize.com to begin the return process.


      Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

      If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

      Late or missing refunds

      If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

      Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

      Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

      If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at admin@machinewize.com.

      Sale and blemished items

      Blemished (marked "blem") product, product sold at a discount and menagerie are all final sale. These products are not eligible for refund. 


      We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at admin@machinewize.com.


      If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

      If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.

      You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

      Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

      If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.


      By using your MachineWise product, you are agreeing to be bound by the terms of the MachineWise (MW) Warranty as set out below. Do not use your product until you have read the terms of the warranty. 

      Under Warranty

      If a MachineWise product fails to function as it was originally designed due to faulty workmanship or materials, such defects will be made good free of cost.  This guarantee applies for the life of the knife. A knife must be in its original configuration to be eligible to receive warranty and/or maintenance services.

      Warranty Exclusions

      This guarantee does not cover normal wear-and-tear, incorrect applications, neglect, abuse, misuse, modifications, or other examples including but not limited to: 

      • Lost or consumable parts such as screws, washers, or hardware, unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship;
      • Cosmetic damage including but not limited to scratches, dents, faded anodized parts, or protective coatings that will naturally diminish over time unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship;
      • Third party damage caused by use with a third party component or product that does not meet the MW product’s specifications nor is MW responsible for loss or damage to third-party components;
      • Other damage caused by disassembly, accident, abuse, misuse (e.g. use as a screwdriver, pry bar, chisel or punch), or other external cause;
      • Damage caused by service (including "upgrades" and cosmetic treatments) performed by anyone who is not a representative of MW
      • A MachineWise product that has been modified to alter functionality, capability, or cosmetic appeal, including but not limited to button adjustment, non-MW factory supplied part replacement, anodizing and/or heat anodizing, sandblasting/bead-blasting, polishing, or any other form of resurfacing by a non-MW employee;
      • A MW product outside of its original configuration assembled by a non-MW employee, with parts outside of its factory original configuration, e.g. blade or hardware swapping. 

      Retrofit or upgraded parts to fit the latest model.  We reserve the right to change our product at any time to keep competitive in the marketplace and/or improve production methods.

      MachineWise stands by every product that leaves our shop. If you product arrives defective we will do everything in our power to make it right. Please contact admin@machinewize.com for further information on how to proceed with a warranty fix.
